Blog#3: Ministry plans to use TOEFL on university exam.

Hello, I'm Koshi Mochizuki.
I introduce the news about TOEFL and university examination.
I referred to the following link. http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/national/news/20120605-OYT1T00517.htm

The news article says that The Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Ministry plans to use TOEFL and other English test as one of a university reform plan. This plan will carried out from 2012 through 2017.

I was astonished to read the news article. Though I don't know about TOEFL well, if this plan will carried out, I think that the examinees for the university exam may confuse and have to change the way studying English.

Please tell me what you think about this.
See you!

  1. I think that this plan is very good. If all examinees test for TOEFL, they will get grade which are marked equally. Moreover, They don't have to study of English school by school. I agree with this plan.

  2. I think that TOEFL seems to be difficult. If universities use TOEFL for examinations, examinees have to study about TOEFL. It may be more practical than the conventional way of studying English.

  3. This is a big news. Probably, we have to study English harder. I do not have experience which still took TOEFL. If there is an opportunity, I would like to take an examination.

  4. I'm poor at English. So, I didn't think that I passed into this university. If new system had introduced, I would have despaired・・・
