Blog#2: Olympics in 2020

   Hello! I'm Tomoko Yamazaki.
In this year the London Olympics will be held. However, I will talk about the Olympics in 2020. May 23 (24 in Japan), Tokyo was selected for a site proposed for it with Madrid and Istanbul. September 7 in next year, the venue will be decided. Though the evaluation of Tokyo is good, people don't have an enthusiasm much. I think that the one of the reason is because it costs a lot to invite the Olympics. Shintaro Ishihara the Governor of Tokyo said "The struggle starts from now on." As for me, I'm not so interested in sports, but four years before I watched the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics on TV, then I was so excited. So I'd like to watch Japanese one too. This is the official website "Tokyo 2020."
   Thank you for your reading.

  1. Sorry, I don't agree with you because to hold Olympic in Tokyo is too danger. If Olympic hold in Tokyo, many people will come to Japan from all over the world. Japan's economy will be good. But we have to be careful about terrorism, trouble of religion, and so on. I think that if you think about safety of Japaneese, Olympic sholud not hold in Tokyo.

    1. Thank you for your comment.
There is some reason in what you say, though I think that it is necessary to make effort toward safety.

  2. I am not interested in sports too. However, the Olympics are special.
I will not be disappointed even if Tokyo is rejected. But, if Olympic hold in Tokyo, I feel come to life.

  3. I like playing sports and watching a game. The play of first-class players attracts my heart. We must surely get over various obstacles to hold the Olympics. However, I want to taste the excitement of the Olympics in Japan.

  4. I agree with Tomoko.
When it comes to hold the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2012, this event brings Japan and people in Japan big effect for better or worse like Tokyo Olympics (1964) , Sapporo Olympics(1972) and Nagano Olympics(1998). I'd like to get a chance to watch the live games in Japan.
